Gallery: Oxford Castle Food Festival - Sausage Making and Butchery Demonstrations
On 18th and 19th September Foxbury attended Oxford Castle's first Food and Drink festival. The event was a great success with Foxbury running a farm shop promotional stall, sausage making for all ages and a butchery demonstration in the live cookery theatre each day.
Visitors could watch Foxbury butcher Stuart cut a whole Foxbury pig carcass down into joints, and then follow him to the Foxbury area and make sausages using Foxbury meat and fresh herbs from the Foxbury garden. In total over 72 people learned how Foxbury sausages are made by hand using only the finest ingredients and without lots of preservatives and additives.
